New Zealand is better known for its scenery than for its museums, but the Kiwis have a lot to offer in this respect. Not just an alternative for rainy days, there's a lot to learn and great things to see.

A bit of advance planning is useful because it pays to make some time to include a visit into what is often a packed daily programme.

The ticket prices are usually very low in comparison to overseas and admission to regional museums is often free.
