New Zealand is excited to welcome travellers back!

The government's communication during the Coronavirus pandemic was clear and consistent, the residents acted in a disciplined and responsible manner even during lockdowns, and the remote location on the edge of the Pacific allowed for a unique independent isolation strategy. The Economist magazine named Auckland the most livable city in the world in 2021. As a side effect of closed borders and lockdowns New Zealand was also the only OECD country to record fewer deaths than expected. New Zealand's official strategy was to eliminate the virus, but after October 2021 a suppression strategy was possible thanks to an extremely high vaccination rate of 96%.

Travel arrivals are still expected to be 20% lower than before COVID and the exchange rate is great - the timing is right for an unforgettable trip to New Zealand in 2024!
